COVID CANCELLATIONS

We are excited that you are looking to entrust us with your precious vacation time and we hope to deliver an exceptional tour when you get to Moab. We did, however, want to reach out to you in these difficult times for the travel industry and tell you how the current situation has affected us and potentially you.

We ask that you wear a mask while on the tour inside the vehicle so we can decrease exposure for everyone on the tour. Free masks will be provided to those who don’t have one. We ask for this inconvenience because if one of us gets sick with flu-like symptoms, we will have to get immediately tested and close our business while we await results. This also means canceling tours for the next few, or even up to 14 days. This would be devastating for our small business and disappointing for our future guests.

We do pride ourselves on typically having zero cancellations, but if one of us does get sick, please understand that we will be required to cancel immediate tours with extreme last minute notice. Keep in mind that if exposed on a recent, previous tour, you might have to be quarantined as well. All canceled tours will receive a full refund.

We hope that you will understand that these measures are not taken lightly, but they are required by the local health department. But right now we are taking exceptional precautions and hope for the best, and we hope to see you in Moab soon!

COVID TOUR CONSENT WITH MOAB IN A DAY

I knowingly and willingly join the tour with Moab In A Day. I understand that the company is following the CDC and National Park Service guidance for infection control of wearing masks and disinfecting vehicles after and before every tour.  We will ask that you do wear a mask while with us so that we can protect ourselves and you against the virus. Please understand that if one of our staff gets sick, our company will be forced to close for a few days, or up to 14 days, cancelling all scheduled tours for other traveling guests like yourselves. After having lost 2 months of revenue, we cannot close again and expect to survive as a business. We hope that you can be understanding of this potential hardship. Free disposable masks will be provided for those who don’t have one.

ARE YOU IN THE HIGH RISK CATEGORY?

CONTACT WITH INFECTED & TRAVEL

I confirm that I have not knowingly been in close contact defined as 6 feet or less for a duration of 15 minutes or more with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days, or with anyone that has had the above state symptoms in the last 14 days. I confirm that I have not traveled outside of the United States in the past 14 days. I confirm that I have not traveled within an area identified as a COVID-19 “hot-spot” within the last 14 days.

CONSENT

I understand that COVID-19 virus has a long incubation period during which carriers of the virus may not show symptoms yet are still highly contagious. It is impossible to determine who has it and who does not given the current limitations and availability of COVID-19 viral testing. I understand that due to the frequency of tours with other guests, characteristics of the virus, and the characteristics of the tour business, that I may have an elevated risk of contracting the virus simply by being inside a vehicle, even though CDC health guidelines are being observed and I have agreed to wear a mask at all times inside the vehicle. I have been given the opportunity to ask any questions regarding risks of contracting COVID-19 on a tour. I do voluntarily assume any and all medical risks, including a substantial and significant risk of serious harm, if any, which may be associated with being on a guided tour as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
